UX Researcher | Ph.D. in Informatics-HCI

I am a Service Design Researcher in Public Healthcare IT
Design Research is the process of devising products, processes, and systems that respond to human needs. I study people’s intentions, actions, and emotions, and design processes to address their needs and values.
Service Design Research takes a business delivery perspective to look at people, processes, and products synergistically. I bring an informatics (study of representation, processing, and communication of information) perspective to design research. My values for this process are compassion, communal harmony and flourishing, and equity and sustainability.
During the past decade, I worked on studying the informational needs of dementia carers and chronic illness self-management for brain injury. I’m passionate about improving inclusion and quality of life for neurodivergent individuals.
